The Greatest Feeling

The Greatest Feeling

I’ve discovered that there’s an amazing feeling that exists out there

It’s a feeling like no other it’s the greatest and most rare

There’s nothing else quite like it or that can even compare

The fact most will never know it is extremely unfair

We journey through this thing called life usually alone and unaware

That there might be someone who truly gets us that with we can share

Many times we fool ourselves wanting this or that believing they care

Only to find out in the end we are left alone in our despair

But if and when you feel that feeling and you know it’s there

The look in each other’s eye when you really know it share

The Feeling that over comes you is beyond all compare

Knowing you’re understood and not alone feels so very rare

The unspoken understandings and the personal things that are there

The little secrets you have that of everyone else is unaware

That feeling of connection and the strength that it helps you share

Makes everything else in life small no matter what you bear

The feeling that someone gets you and beside you is always there

That’s truly the Greatest Feeling nothing else can compare

Even if it doesn’t last forever embellish it while you’re there

Because when it’s gone your heart will surely tear

You will search for it because without it now life is hard to bear

You don’t know how you lived without it before is unfair

You may even loose a little of yourself totally unaware

That you truly had a small piece of heaven that you got to share

To find it again never you will most definitely swear

Destined to roam alone again your heart you wish to spare

Scared to trust that the feeling was even really there

To imagine it could happen again is difficult when it’s so very rare

The simple truth in all of this in love all is fair

You take a chance with your heart every time you care

But to feel the Greatest Feeling you must always beware

The Best of Life comes when you find someone with to share
