I Saw Fire

Contributed by thebadguy9999 on Friday, 4th June 2010 @ 09:27:32 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

I saw fire raining down from above.
Holy Fire in the form of a dove.
It came down on every church in this land.
Holy Fire from the Lords mighty hand.
Christians were dancing and praising God with their tears.
The greatest anointing ever seen through the years.
People were running and they were speaking in tongues.
The greatest singing to ever come from human lungs.
I saw the glory of the Lord enter this place.
I do believe i spoke to Jesus face to face.
There was prophesying from the elders in the church.
I love to see the Holy Spirit do his work.
Such anointing,I've never been so much at peace.
My Lord I praise you for this Holy sweet release.
I know that nothing in this world can quite compare.
To God's love and the anointing in the air.
I feel Gods fire with every word that i write down.
I know that Jesus is here with me even now.
For his glory is not confined inside church walls.
He is our strength and the reason we stand tall.
The Holy Spirit, I would not trade for anything.
Within his fire is where your soul can truly sing.
If you do not know him come to the altar and bow down.
No better time than when his Holy Fire's all around.
The Holy Spirit will guide your heart, hands and feet.
To the altar where there's a fire that burns so sweet.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
