Last Night

Contributed by thebadguy9999 on Wednesday, 2nd June 2010 @ 07:05:16 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

Last night I had a dream and in it I had died.
I was placed before two paths, one narrow and one wide.
I asked the man beside me , What do these paths represent?
They represent the life of man and how each one was spent.
At the head of the path was a man dressed in white.
He was directing all the people to the left and to the right.
The right path was paved in gold and the left covered with tears.
To the right there was rejoicing,to the left was screams of fear.
The left path looked well traveled while the right still looked brand new.
I almost asked him why this was but I already knew.
The right is for God's chosen ones, the righteous and the few
The left is for the wicked souls, whom to God they would not bow
I can tell through all their screams of pain they're calling on him now.
I asked him,Why does Jesus not step in and stop their pain?
Jesus called them while they yet lived, but in sin they did remain.
While standing at that crossroad I broke down and cried,
Praying for my loved ones who in sin had surely died.
The man said It's too late son,All hope is lost after you die
You did the best you could Son,While they lived I saw you try.
They kept putting off repentance and kept saying,Oh I've got time
They have put me off too long now,I must punish all their crime.
Right then i knew that it was Jesus and I fell down on my face.
Lord please forgive me of my sin,I kept my eyes upon your face.
Jesus said, I know you have my son,It's not your time, you must return
To tell lost souls of what you saw and all that you did learn.
Tell my children to be strong,I am coming any day.
Tell the sinners to repent, turn from your wicked way.
For wide is the path to your damnation
And narrow is the path of my salvation.
