Anger sets in as the fire begins
somewhere down below.
I feel the pain, again and again
praying it soon will mellow.
Then starts the noise and I loose all poise
to the rumbling sound of a cymble.
What can this be that is killing me?
Life use to be so simple.
Away with you bats or were they big gnats?
Wings flapping at my ears.
The pounding won't stop . I'll soon need to copp
to free me of my fears.
A barbituate diet, all has gone quiet.
Too much has already been said.
I am now at the station of great expectation.
Soon I'll most likely be dead.
Life so insane, to die, one and the same.
Both mysteries to be certain.
I take my last breath to the coldness of death
as I bow down to the final curtain.
