Nuclear War

The buttons are pushed
The bombs are flying
Down on the streets,
the people are dying.
World leaders pushed the buttons
The people all cry,
"Why should world leaders live,
while we fall and die?"
There's no way out,
no way we can fight
For nuclear weapons
are borne out of spite.
As I look around
people's bodies decay
This has to be
the world's final day.
Look up in the sky
see the great mushroom cloud
The world is dying
For crying out loud!

Nuclear war would have to be the worst travesty in human history. It's bad enough that we ever dropped the first one... but to have all out nuclear war??? I hope that we are never that stupid... technology is wonderful... but I hope it doesn't kill us all in the end. This is a great write. Thanks for sharing.
