These Hands

Contributed by Cliche on Sunday, 30th May 2010 @ 04:32:12 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

These hands
That once held all possibilities in their grasp
That held her love
Before it slipped forever more
From my feeble fingers.

These hands
That could have held an infant
And felt the resonance from its waling cry
And could have held on
And been worthwhile.

These hands
That once held her
And felt her in our loving need
But that now recoil
Despised and forever alone.

These hands
That hold my own destruction
That solicit my own weak need
That pander to sensualist institution
And hold on to what might remain.

These hands will strangle me
And feed me these pills
And will cut the veins that bind me
To this life
That can hold on no longer.

Very Nice.

Oh, be careful about posting comments in your own poems. YPDC isn't really partial to that.

If you need to edit the poem, let the mods know in the forums.

I liked the poem. Keep it up.

Always, Abraham
