VOIX - WILD HORSES

Contributed by Alexa_Bachtel on Saturday, 29th May 2010 @ 03:39:59 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Back when I was a little girl,
I dreamed that the life would be kind to me,
And I'd find my way among the cold blocks,
Among the castles from a stone and a steel,
But time flew by, dispelling my illusions
And what should've come easy, it came hard.
My dreams sped by like the wild horses
Which can be free only if they run unbridled.

Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run as freely as you,
Wild horses, I wish I could...

My mom told me never take the life for granted,
Cos what should come by itself, it comes by itself,
And if you open up your eyes you'll see that's right,
Even the cold will give it up on a spring someday,
And the heart will find somebody to beat for,
It takes time, sometimes it might take a lifetime,
But it's worth it, cos this is how it goes down,
And it runs head over heels like the wild horses.

Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run as freely as you,
Wild horses, I wish I could...

Back when I was a little girl,
I dreamed that the life would be kind to me,
And I'd find my way among the cold blocks,
Among the castles from a stone and a steel...

Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run as freely as you,
Wild horses, I wish I could...

Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run away with you,
Wild horses, I wish I could run as freely as you,
Wild horses, I wish I could...

yes I like the thoughts this piece provokes.
Everyone, if only for a moment, should feel as free as wild horses.
well written, well done.

Great for a song.
