My Hell

I stand here on the cold pavement.
I stare out at the dark empty road.
I wonder what life would have been like if I saved them.
The streets stunk of a deathly sorrow.
How could I long to live with such spacious and empty room?
A never ending tunnel, narrowing along the way.
A thought unheld by a leash, running free through my mind.
All that was, is gone.
The sky is black...
The sky is dark, and so is my heart.
Shall I run through the forest until I collapse...
Let my body become one with nature.
Let the wind howl through my mind.
Let the energy of a thousand set within my grasp.
So the people from above shall watch down on my misery.
I created my own hell.
A world with no people.
There is only me.
Should that be my punishment.
So be it.
I am ready for anything.
Let me become ONE!

You have depicted the emptiness and hollowness of despair with great imagery..... let the wind howl through my mind, and a resignation in conclusion of living with the consequences of an empty world well written |
