Bad Monkey

Contributed by elle on Friday, 28th May 2010 @ 11:16:11 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

there is only this & that. . .
all else is a conjuring of the two

of this, I am quite certain
& that, well that is a fact. . .

& while I am surprised with this
maybe that will scratch my back

it's only that, a dulcet spot
but this itch is so o o o intense. . .
a stunner. . . & a spoiler. . . a definite ill fit.

I took a meager offering
& gladly met the day
all roads led to this, finally
that was heart-aches way. . .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've lied, so to my brokenness. . .
lulled up flight after flight of apprehension,
each step
e a s i e r / h a r d e r
than the
n e x t / l a s t
my soul confessing that it cannot be alone
does not want to own the sum of it's own glitter
cannot dwell in the infinite
s i l e n c e
apologies. . .
I've left so much. . . u n d o n e
. . . a m
. . . a l w a y s
. . . . . l e a v i n g
(& using up the band-aides)
except - no one notices
monsters are out there . . . y e s
but they are on the inside, too
forever pressed into the corners that you wish weren't darkened. . . so. . .
. . . c l o s e
to the surface. . .
I can feel them clawing out beneath my pores
breathing. . . hot. . . between the sheets
turning. . . turning
. . . t u r n i n g
the bedbugs into bedsores or
clearly, that other laughter
w h e r e I do not want to sleep
You have one of the most amazing minds.
Random Thought:
This and that were running through the Griffin house. They ran upstairs and ditched themselves into Chris Griffin's room, when out of nowhere that monkey from the closet appears. Scary. Smile!
Another Random Thought:
Words float in the air...in the sky sometimes just within reach...sometimes far above. You have a way of nailing them every time with such perfect aim, while some of us muddle our away around like we're lost in the darkness. Reaching and feeling our way through with no good results. This is never you. Smile!
Hi Elle,
This kind of monkey does tricks - harmful ones!
What a dark and painful insight into the shadowy
realms of addiction.
Well put together.
