My last goodbye

Contributed by takeahittariq on Friday, 28th May 2010 @ 08:18:37 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I would watch you as you hopelessly crawl towards my feet
Pulling. Begging me to teach you...
I taught you well... I remember the way you would walk.
I was by your side. I remember the way you would talk.
I was by your side. You once thanked me for bringing you into this
Sweet, bitter world. Now you stand high, alone and I miss you.
It hurts to see how we once drifted apart
And now the thought of us together is lost.
I’m lost. No place to go. No answers. No direction.
My souls escaping and I’m letting you go with it.
Now everyday i wake up i hope I’m dreaming
You’ve turned your back
And now you’re leaving
So I guess nothing lasts forever
Because I was hoping we could watch this cloud pass by together....
