In the sand, lay nineteen shells organized around his name
Shh! Don't speak it.
We don't talk about him anymore
The memories seem to come back
Seeing him every day
That week was the best week ever
Two crazy kids in love
After that day he let his feelings show
I love you the text said
He got mad when I couldn't say it back
Finally, I did, and it felt like I was soaring
Sitting in the kitchen
Away from the sleeping kids
I fell in love with him
I walked the beach talking on the phone for hours
His sweet voice loved to say baby
His name drawn in the sand
Over and over and over
Again and again and again
I love to hear it, but shh!
Don't speak the name, and heart, that was left
In The Sand
