You

Topic: anguished

Is this what my life is to become?
validating my existence through meaningless sexual encounters
all the hard work of the last few months comes undone
as I leave your house in the night

Strangers come and then they go
none of them last the night
and through all of this, I still don't know
why am I this way

Is it because of what you did?
when you had my heart and tore it apart
I wish that I had ran away and hid
to hide myself from the world

It felt to me like the world had stopped turning
when you brought me to my knees in the streets
and now, all these pictures of us are burning
as I fuel the fire

The hatred grows stronger every day
but still the love remains
forever, it will never go away
and you will always plague my thoughts

So I'm writing this for you
in the hope that one day you might see
I hate you, and everything you do
but I will always love you
