Freedom lies in the pen of a writer,
In the gleaming sword of a fighter,
Freedom lies in the heart of child,
Dancing and singing in the wild,
Freedom lies in the stars in the sky,
In the blowing leaves that pass us by,
Freedom lies in the clouds above,
In the blissful flight of a beautiful white dove,
Freedom lies in the eyes of the ones we need,
In the flowing blood we bleed,
Freedom lies in the depths of the ocean,
In the depths of a soul showing raw emotion,
But where does freedom actually lie?
Is freedom just a word to help us get by?
Freedom does not lie anywhere but at the end,
Freedom is waiting for us all my friend.

Wow! what thoughts this poem evokes,
I like to think i find my freedom in the wilds of the mountains.
Still, there's no denying you've summed it up well. A really nice piece of writing. |
