Dead leaves are falling, soft whispers are calling
A winter floor approaches, to an event with no stalling
Saddened days, depressing rains, smiles upon lament
Drives one insane, the path of this plain, down a dark decent
Dwindling trail, may sunlight prevail, and bring the life to life
This season, avail, as winter entails, it sings so rife with strife
The thirsty will drink, Their thoughts they will think
Until the floor of snow, turns water and shrinks
Flowers will bloom, sad banish the gloom
All aspects born of a sweet summer womb
Raised in the bright, struck down by the night
A repetitive turn that offers old light
Seniority speak legends, minority speak tales
All of them speaking, awaiting exhale
Just wait and see, require no plea
Forget these riddles just listen to me
I've seen this shine just come and go
It's high in line, then just hangs low
It will return, I can promise you this
Once more by the water you'll bask in the bliss
