The Beast!

Contributed by ExoM on Sunday, 23rd May 2010 @ 08:08:36 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Unspoken words formed on those blinding white rectangles
Begging to be unleashed
Into the world to cause havok
It is perched in the shadows
Lurking and waiting
A mass of sharp triangles poke and prawd inside
Show no fear
Grab your mighty weapon
Thrust open the jaws of the beast
And charge into the assault of your Geometry homework

your poem is a poem i will not recommend for impatient people, imagine the way the identity of the beast was concealed till the last line of the piece, but that is particularly what i love most about the poem. it makes one concentrate more and focus more on the message of the poem, suspense and anxiety keeps you glued till the end.
if i read a poem like this during my school days, i would blame my epilepsy in maths on the poem
the poem is beautiful. nice work.

ACK! That last line reminds me of how much I procrasitnate.
But in reading this, it makes those chores I really have
no desire to start, a little more appealing. Why must we
continually wait for the muse to strike? lol Good post. I love
the ending. Unexpected and just a tad eccentric. Lewis Carrol
would be proud! ^_^

Well done!! -- Achelois
