Dark are my eyes,
that watch your every step,
dark as the night, they are.
You, so bright as the full moon
and all the stars.
I can see you all the time,
I watch from afar,
while I enjoy the view of you.
Dark are my eyes,
that follow you around.
Dark are my eyes,
that sense the light of you.
Dark are my eyes.
the window to my heart
and the mirror of my soul.
