This is my inky star studded night sky,
Where the lion, snake, and ram still lie.
In this place I spread wings and fly again.
Free from the waking world's agony and pain.
My worries and woes melt away,
When the night takes over for the day.
The satisfied grin cracks my tired skin,
My body and soul begin to heal from within.
Almost comfortable in the place of my creation,
The real world and mine no longer have separation.
Abruptly I am ripped from the world of which I was dreaming,
Because the girl next door is always screaming....
