We fantasize of infanticide.
We hum of homicide.
We sing of suicide.
We joke of genocide.
Easing the pain through fun and games.
Forgetting sorrow by living in tomorrow.
Getting by through staying high.
Now evolved we no longer kill each other for survival, but for the fun of it.
Now evolved our minds create new problems to justify the sum of it.
This time we may have jumped in too deep.
Sleep.
