I slowly run my finger over the blade,
It holds so much beauty,
So much power,
It controls my fate,
Whether I cut too deep,
Or too little.
So shiny,
And silver,
It reflects the face that I despise,
One that I wish would vanish,
One that I wish would see the darkness of death.
The blade slices my skin,
Slowly and deeply,
Blood runs down my arm.
So full of life,
And so full of hate,
I feel a wave of release wash over me,
I feel content and free,
Once more.....I am human.

| I really liked it... I think this is A good reflection poem ...you become addicted to the feeling..and the more you do it...the more you need it...you crave it..i know..i used to have those feelings...you become so repulsed with yourself...you don't believe your real anymore...so you cut and cutting just numbs the pain you feel inside...for awhile..then it hurts again...but good write... |
