Give me one reason to love you like that.
Give me one reason. It’s all that I ask.
shouldn’t be hard now, I’ll give you some time.
Has to be true though. It can’t be a lie.
What have you done, that has proven your love?
What have you done to deserve any trust?
Don’t think to hard though, you’ll cause yourself pain.
Tell me of moments when love wasn’t faked.
Tell me, please tell me, of things you deserve.
You say that it’s love, but my love wasn’t earned.
Please I’m still waiting, I’ve just got to know,
All of the moments our love truly glowed.
Confusions a line that has formed on your brow.
Having some trouble? I guess I'll help out.
Never a moment was love truly shared.
I’ve realized that now, while back than I was scared.
Scared to find truth that your love was a lie.
Now that I’ve grown though, I won’t be so blind.
I’ll not walk around with a false sense of hope.
I’ll not be a puppet you get to control.
I’ve given you time now, much more than deserved.
Give me a reason to love such a jerk.
I’m sick of the waiting. It’s over we're done.
If it makes you feel better, the reason? there’s none.

Oh this was superb!!!! BRAVO! for your bravery and truthful thought! This could have been me about 15 years ago........I was married to a Jerk with a capital "J"
I hope you mean what you say

This poem was riveting, roaring, and rhyming all in one!
This poem was different, I enjoyed reading it, because you've finally won!
