I Will Make It Up

I took a look back on the things I did
I took a look back on the things I said
Even though I can’t really remember most of it
Sometimes I wished I could take it all away
I really didn’t mean to be such a pain
I really didn’t mean to get in the way
All I ever wanted is to save the day
But then again I’m not always there to make it okay
I guess I’ll make it up, oh yeah I’ll make it up to you
I know I promise you the world, I know I promise you diamonds and pearls,
But there isn’t really much to give nor there is to say
So my only hope is for those words to ease the pain
And maybe, just maybe tomorrow won’t be the same as yesterday
But if it is, then you best believe I won’t give up
I am going to make it up, and this time I promise I won’t mess up
Because I’ll make it up to you.
