I clutch my pillow,
silent, weeping
You confessed
while I was sleeping
All your sins and
all your sorrows
To be forgotten
dawn tomorrow
I heard you say
you loved my eyes
You'd look at them,
think I'm a prize
I heard you say
you loved my lips
Plump and gloss-less
with each kiss
I heard you say
you loved my smile
White and perfect,
shined for miles
But here I sob
and here I see
You love my looks;
you don't love me

Why can't they love us for us, and not what we look like? I really enjoyed reading this. Very emotional. Great job. |

This isn't my "type" of poem but I actually really liked it! Keep up the good work. |
