The prior optimism has now deserted my mind,
Seeping through some rip in space and time.
And for all my lengthy lexemes and wordy wishes,
My brain is metaphorically sleeping with the fishes.
The conscious mind sinking ever deeper,
Deeper down into the abyss.
All thoughts stolen by some midnight creeper,
Pilfering all the important bits.
But I don't care about the space that's left,
I am not filled with sorrow.
Hopefully, new ideas can be born,
For I have an exam tomorrow.
