You stand before me screaming and I cower in fear.
He stands beside me whispering softly in my ear.
You humiliate, offend and insult me.
He flirts, praises and always speaks kindly.
You do nothing but make me cry.
He waits patiently not really understanding why.

A very insightful piece. There is much to be said
for inner strength, patience is born of. And we are
lucky when there is someone whose patience
outweighs all else. That is the foundation of affection.
