Speaking of Love The Beginning

Contributed by jmorrison94 on Monday, 10th May 2010 @ 08:05:56 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

train 602 arrived at 12:30 and 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon, it was routine for me to watch the people enter and exit the train.

i was 12 when i began watching, there i met what seemed to be perfection, the love of my life, and angel brought by God.

she had long dark hair, thin, and dark eyes that seemed to stare right through me, i felt alone each day after.

four years later after seeing her exit, i grew the courage to ask her for coffee, she smiled and nodded, but never gave a name.

how could i find her? i had no name to yell for, or to call, but i for sure had her beautiful eyes to look forward to.

i arrived at meriddean street with hopeful eyes and a persuing heart to find love, but something was lacking...her

i felt i had been stood up and began to doubt that i even could find love, why not watch clocks forever?

i would soon find that watching train 602 come in was an uneasy, painful blow to my heart, visits became less frquent

i fell for her thouhg, those eyes haunted me for hours on end every night before my usual sleep time

buut there she was, a morning, a tuesday morning, in the meriddean street coffee house, and greeted me with a hearty hug.

she clasped me in a way i felt was unreal, love was being embraced in just a few second hug that felt for a life time

we laughed, we cried, and shared tales of our childhood, not many from me, but a good while was spoken from her.

she did something tragic thouhg...she pulled out a ring from a coat pocket and said four tragic words...i cant see you

i left the table with no spoken words ot and emotion i went home and watched darkness grow i would pray everynight... "Oh Darkness, give me your unconditional love, because i am no place in this world, nothing more than a black speck on the face of this cold cruel world....Darkness? i am dead to the world, and so are you, may i take your hand in marriage...please speak no more, silently whisk me away in the peaceful hum of my old Kieninger ticking clock, for eternity.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
