Pieces of Picasso

Creativity is a blessing and a curse
An itching in the back of the brain
That only creating can scratch
Constantly searching and observing
Taking apart the intricacies of life
One piece of Picasso at a time
Simplicity a lost relic
Stored in the secluded passages
Where dead poets roam still
And inspiration is found in everyday life
In blue eyes speaking hazel
Or lips in silver colored roses
Where smiles are thorns and laughter is razors
Cutting through the realization
That love is graffiti
Written on concrete walls
Marching with a longing heart
That like the fall of Humpty Dumpty breaks
And all of life’s forces and all of its currents
Can’t place it back to where it all began
Stitched together with time’s nimble thread
An everlasting quilt sewn
…. In pieces of Picasso

"That love is graffiti

I love the harshness of this image. Nice piece. |
