A teacher is

Contributed by Jessi95 on Saturday, 8th May 2010 @ 07:06:54 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

A teacher is the moon
That comes out in the dead of night
A teacher always finds a way
To show a student the light

A teacher is the person
That teaches us to dream
And then they go out
And teach us to work as a team

They come in many ways
But you can always point them out
Because a teacher is a fountain
That pours love from every spout

People know who you are
And the good that you have done
Even if you think you have failed
Remember we think you won

Remember that we love you
No matter what people say,
Because a teacher is a caring soul
That always finds the way

So here in my eighth grade year
I have the best teachers as can be
And I will tell you once more
That you really taught me

So a teacher is the person
That teaches you something new
The only way to describe a teacher
Is to point strait to you

I love this poem--maybe because I am an eighth grade teacher, lol. Sometimes I wonder if any of my students appreciate me. I can tell you appreciate your teachers. Great poem!

What a wonderful poem. I'm sure all your teachers appreciate this poem so much. Very kind of you to write.
