MOTHER'S EVERYWHERE

Topic: Lifepoems

(A newborn's conversation with their Creator)

"Hi there God, Did you see me being born this day?
That last part was like being squeezed in a subway!
Good to be free, but I'm afraid I don't know what to do.
Would you mind if I questioned you?

,

God replies,
"Not at all dear child let me hold you close
to my heart"

'~'~'~'

"I can't walk, can't feed myself, I'm so tiny
and helpless, where do I start?"

'~'~'~'

God says,
"Never fear little one, an angel I've given
to care for you."

'~'~'~'

"But tell me please, I floated around
for nine whole months, singing, sucking
my thumb, it was lots of fun, then to
the womb I bid a adieu,
Will I be happy again too?"

'~'~'~'

God comforts,
"Your angel will sing, smile, and cuddle you close
Hug you, and lull you to sleep, until your love grows

'~'~'~'

"How can I know what they are saying?
Their language I don't know, for me
it's only burping."

'~'~'~'

God responds soothingly,
"Your angel will tell you the most beautiful stories
and sweet words galore.
Will teach you patiently to speak, and
soon your spirits will soar."

'~'~'~'

"What will I do if I want to speak to you?"

'~'~'~'

God answers kindly,
Your angel will say prayers with you
until you learn to pray alone.
Your heart strings will be closely sewn."
But,
"Who will protect me?

'~'~'~'

God reiterates,
"Risking it's own life your Angel will
protect you to the end.
Neither enemies, nor death, nor
sickness.....defend!"

'~'~'~'

But,
What about you God where will you be?

'~'~'~'

God decries,
"I'll always be by your side through your angel
I'll be your guide."

'~'~'~'

Then there was joy in Heaven,
and throughout the whole earth, a calm,

'~'~'~'

But,
What is my Angel's name?

'~'~'~'

God declared,
"You may lovingly call her

"Mom"

This was an email sent to me
from my dear friend Shari who

"You were right God, this is really fun!"

I am at a serious loss for words. This ...this is just
exquisite. It puts a lump in my throat and a warmth in
my heart. Such beautiful words, consue. And being
a mother, I understand explicitly the words you've
written. A fine post for Mother's Day. GORGEOUS!

Wonderful write! **hugs** --Marie
