My Dearest Love.
Like the twinkling of stars or the purest moonbeams
Streaming through the blackest, clearest night sky,
Reflecting off the surface of a limpid lake at midnight,
Your eyes shine with such intensity and life.
Oval emeralds of the most exquisite opalescence
Look back at me with a love no mortal deserves.
These jewels are set in an opal face with skin so soft
It would put the finest polished marble to shame.
This vision of artistic and almost incredible perfection
Is framed by the softest, finest red flame hair,
Cascading down to your shoulders like silken threads;
Almost imperceptible to the touch but sensual.
I do not know what I have done to earn your love.
But every day I thank all the Gods that you are mine.
