A captain without a ship to sail
A general without an army to command
A matador without a bull to fight
A pool without water to swim
A fisherman without a net to cast
A clown without a tricycle to ride
A bard without a song to sing
Ahab without a whale to chase
Religion without a god to serve
Youth without health to play
Cupid without an arrow to nock
Beauty without sight to behold
Life without love to give
Love without affection to share
Me without you…

Really enjoyed this poem. I like how everything built up to the last line. Beautiful write.
