Take me to the river, and make me clean again
it smells of gasoline and lead
the drumming in my head
It takes a while to grow anything
and I wonder if i could..
save you for later
if I said that I loved you, Can i keep you?
I can't say that I'll wait for you
I can't say anything
Don't speak,
It takes a while
I could tell by the way you looked at me,
that it was time to go
My lights to faint to hold back all my dark.
A few times I could see the fire in your eyes
I guess we all could really use a wish right now
Your breath I breathed every day
stale in my lungs
It takes a while to grow anything
I told you things.
a lot of me right into your hands
I opened up for you
I haven't done that for anybody in so long
Do you think I deserve better than what you did?
And I wonder if I could..
save you for later
If I said that I hate you, Could I keep you?
There's a drumming in my head,
it starts when your around, I wish you could hear it
It makes such an almighty sound
Yeah the sound of your passion snapping
It throws me to the ground.
Damn, thought I had something to say
but I forgot. Funny how, I thought
that I was the one who was lucky.
