All night, every night
I'ma lay here and cry
Till god answers my prayers
Till the day that I die
Was it me,
Who pushed him so very far from me?
Or was it mom,
Who just wouldn't let him breath?
I blame myself more and more everyday
I thought I was a good daughter
I always thought he'd stay
I guess I was wrong,
I couldn't be less right
So I'ma give up now
Cuz I already lost the fight

Sometimes people just can't work out their differences. It's not anyone's fault, and especially not the children in those situations. I don't know if you had to go through this yourself... but I can feel the heartache in those words. If you are going through it I can tell you that it gets better, and the heartache does fade. Thanks for your comments on my work... and I'm glad you share my passion for dv poetry... it's a very important message. Stay CCC....

Arnt parents odd people.........no one gets its right all the time, sometimes they just dont know how to be a parent. I feel sorry for them really, my son is the world to me and we are really close. But one thing is for sure, dont blame yourself for what is happening its definately not your fault. I wonder if he even realises you feel this way. He will be the one that is missing out on being a proper father and will look back and regret in time. Then it will be him that prays.

Love
Penny
