Love In Distress

Topic: LovePoetry

If you could hear the music of my heart, baby, you'd understand
This distance deafens your ears, so I don't think you can comprehend
This distance plays tricks on you,
And the heat of the moment clouds your mind
I mean it when I say I love you
I mean it when I say I miss you
You live your life, and no one knows
No one
While I almost break under the agony
I hold it together, by strings
Constantly re-sewing just to survive
Just for you
When I tell you you're my world, I mean it
I'm openly in love with you
And I stand by you while you travel through lovers
I try to love others, it just doesn't work
I know what I want and no one can match up
I try and live my life, but what does that amount to without you?
If all I got is a friend, and some so-called love
It's fine by me, I just want you to say the whole truth
Don't hide in the dark, why can't you tell anyone else?
Ashamed? Unsure? A lie?
It's hard to tell when it's just my world that knows our love
Your world knows only a friendship
So it's not so far fetched for me to question, is it?
