yeah im poetically employed
those checks keep rolling in,
tho do not dare look in the fridge
'cause there is nothing in the bin,
~*~
my sportscar is not running
the grass there's growing high,
but i can write a thousand things
'bout pretty doves in skies,
~*~
le' muse n' me go traveling
together long as remembering,
once more sharing the moonlight
this mountain midnight in spring,
~*~
now in quiet comtemplation
these raindrops make me sigh,
oh quick i must pour out the bucket
it is getting rather high,
~*~
being i'm poetically employed
my muse, dogs and i don't care
fixing the roof; we cannot afford,
there's so much love to share,
~*~
although 'twould be quite nice
never thought to make money,
even with the cupboards bare
there's always a pot of honey:)
~*~
a dog drapped across my lap
she's tired from a very long day,
new thunderstorms are rolling in
infinite sky flash bouquets.

Beautiful write, girlfriend.
You know what they say about starving artist.
I don't get paid either but God always meets my need. It comes to my door and he also reads the thoughts in my mind that only he can do.
For instance, the other night someone wrote a poem about fireflies. (We always called them lightening bugs) Any ways, I was sad because I hadn't seen any for years. I went out on the deck tonight and there was my lightening bugs again. You can imagene how thrilled I was.
Hang tuff girl.
luv ya,
emy |

Poets are a "dime a dozen" dear Ladyfawn
But your treasures surround you like beautiful pictures drawn.......
You can always compose poetry..........but where will you find your doggy?
Man can live without food for a long long time,
but not without the love you receive from your critters............'tis simply divine!
Your poetry is so special, we feel blessed indeed...........to have you back writin'
don't worry, we'll take up a collection......so you'll never be in need!
Keep writing dear.........give your talent and love away........without getting it back double in every way!
Warm love,
consue |

Oh nessa, as always you capture the truly important
things in life with such grace and beauty. We do not
need to gather material items when what gives the
most to a lonely heart is the fulfillment of emotion. A
pen, paper and maybe a warm soul or two, to share
it with. ;)
Beautiful post, my friend. ::hugs::

tongue in cheek, but there's plenty of truth in these observations. I'll add 'poetically employed' to my business cards (lol).

Nicely captured,Nessa. Most excellent point made: Life and the enjoyment thereof derives from the heart, the soul. Hegel called it the 'other consciousness' that dwells in tandem with our primary consciousness. Kierkegaard would vigorously label this other 'self' within us as the soul. One might think, by their labellings, we are all schitzo's. lol.
Another point I discerned is that money, the actual paper, is in reality utterly meaningless. It WOULD be in our society were it not for the gravitas we grant it. Point being, who gives a rat's arse about money? So sad that it's required to purchase real goods and services required to exist in this paradigm.
As usual, I find solace, wisdom and humour in your contributions to the poetic collective. Bravo! |

Elegant pictures you paint with this poem...love the point you make...you write from passion for your art before you do it for monetary value. Beautiful poem

I too appreciate all your rhymes
They come out so poetically divine
I like you can only follow suit
And print what's in my soul, the truth
Best,
