Tuesday's Blood

Contributed by Kirby on Monday, 14th April 2003 @ 04:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Event

On such a Tuesday
As on the eleventh
Death came early that morning.

Two planes killed thousands.
Another killed hundreds.
And one killed 44.

No matter how many
Children, women, or men
Were killed all over.

The pain still dwells
In everyone’s hearts.

When innocent American blood
Is spilled in gallons full
Our pride is terribly hurt.

Yet we will stand together
All races and beliefs
To fight in these horrific times.

My pain was definitely not left unknown.

My blood boiled over my skin.
My tears made rivers of hot lava.
My fear shook the earth.
But I could do not one thing to help anyone.
Anywhere else but with me.

So I prayed for someone
Of a higher power
To help us all through.

And until the President
Said, “we are at war”
I was left
Without hope
Of any peace to come.

And yes I feel
The times coming
But their blood
Will mix with ours.

They will feel the pain.
They will tremble from fear.
They will feel our wrath.

For our blood
Was for no reason
Theirs will be
FROM REVENGE!

Beautifully written.
I am not from USA, but when those planes hit the towers it was if everything came to a hault.
It is still sad so many died, and yet I still dont know why or for what purpose?
Why are there so many sickos out there trying to destroy life.............It is a question that I dont beleive anyone has an answer for.
I liked your tribute, and I feel for all those lives lost in that tragidy.
