A new day dawns when words find paper
the outlet comes easily in troubled times
my heart gushes red onto page
as energy flows out in rhymes
protect my heart is the plan
love overwhelms my defense
trust someone who you let in
creates anxiety and suspense
i thought it the same
nieve am i
i knew things were changing
i wasn't sure why
now it all weighs heavy
not sure what to do
i'm not getting input
you are not sharing you
we talk and exchange
conversation, plesantries
but i sense a difference
is it just me?
tears well in my eyes
as i stare at your back
you find all sorts of reasons
to avoid loving contact
but that is not all
some thing is amiss
this vibe of a feeling
is hard to dismiss
please help me out here
if you're mine let me know
if you're someone elses
then please tell me so
give me a chance
i know you can speak truth
share what is inside there
why are you aloof?
