it was no less than a month ago
when you and I were one
the way we were together
it was everything, even the sun

what happened to the love we shared
the love that grew so strong
I don't really understand
but something went really wrong

I know that while you’re standing here
in this gloomy place
your heart is somewhere light and happy
set on your goal, she's wrapped in lace

so what happened to the love we shared
why have we lost it all
nothing in the world would matter
I just wish you'd had called

I just don't see the colors I’d had
when you and I were there
now if you’d look at my heart
you’d see a great big tear

I don't really know
if you ever loved me so
all I know is when you are here
you own my heart and soul
