I wake up alive and well
The sun calms me
The mountains call out to me

I go to sleep with thoughts and dreams
The night comforts me
The sky warms me
The stars mesmerize me

But..

I wake up sick and breathless
The sun is gone and cold
The mountains covered and lost
The moon no where to be found

I go to sleep with anger and despair
The night scares me
The sky kills me
The stars deceive me
