tremblelina. . .

Contributed by elle on Tuesday, 4th May 2010 @ 02:18:26 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

your craving gnaws at my gut, a suicide navel
that sublime life-line. . .
that space of lip licking. . . occupation. . .
blinking profusely, even as the irises form.
my vibrations, aflame.

my tiny bones creak inside you. . .
they solidify. . .
occupy. . .
an acceptance of a skin, soon misunderstood
my will, trembles toward resignation
finality birthed.

I taste like your trust,
your composition. . . a tiny womb churning. . .

I wail
& tangle towards particulars. . . that ride upon obscurities. . .

. . . . . . . that skin

mayhem . . . palpitating

until the demons dismount, to close my incision. . . that skin
that waits like crimson. . .
stiches melting into black. . .

Hi Elle,

A dark and painful rendition of addiction - the
all-encompassing misery.

Like the title.

elle, this reads with intense inward reflection. As I
read, this overwhelming emotion came over me.
Addiction. It takes so many forms, does it not? I
know this is under drug addiction, but addictions
of any kind can be so affecting and self destructive.
I love how this is worked. Almost as if it escalates into
the oblivion that is so common with anticipation of
using. Well done. SO well done, as always.

Excellent post! -- Achelois

Oh Elle dear............this is self torturing indeed! I had two children that endured the addiction of drugs. Your poem was so touching dear, and I know you face each and every day with fear, but take courage, there is always hope. Without it, none of us would survive.........I know you're getting help, but just incase you're not..........go find some right away. Writing poetry can relieve, but being without others, and socializing, is even better.
You are a wonderful poetess Elle, I really enjoyed this poem
Keep up the good work!
Warm love
consue
