Misery's love

Weeks have passed
Yet we're not to be
Alone in my prison
My solitude is misery
The longest day
The longest hour
My life is drained
My food is sour
An image of your face
The thought of your love
A letter from you
Like a sign from above
I gain strength to think
Our words were true
That this love is real
Between me and you.
I shall wait longer
Years if it comes to pass
Till my hair is grey
And I breathe my last
My Shirin,
I grow tired when you are gone
I want to hold you now
Before I end this song
Bleak as alone might seem
You will be safe in my head
And your smile in the cliffs
I’ll remember till I am dead.

a connection this strong means more than meeting in the physical realm. Could a physical reunion possible spoil the metaphysical connection? |
