Eros Smiles

Contributed by Breezy on Sunday, 2nd May 2010 @ 02:24:24 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Midnight whispers to the stars
The magic of the sky is ours
We’ve not the need for light of day
The sun but serves to chase away
All the eloquence of night
And burns us with her scorching light
Lovers praise the bleeding moon
‘Tis only she, could make them swoon
And beauty bathes in starlit skies
That with the dawn, grows faint and dies
But here inside the nighttime lure
Where dreams are dreamt and can endure
My lover’s kiss, my soul beguiles
Our hearts fly free, and Eros smiles

The night offers so many aspects that are full of romance and magic and again, you have captured the mood in such a beautiful way. Your imagery always finds a street of enchantment for the reader to stroll down. Delicate and full of heart this is a splendid write that brought a smile. Well done.

U/E

Eros smiles indeed. He is probably also saying to himself, "this is what my poetry would be made of", if he wrote poetry. Yeah, that's the stuff!!! Smile!
