I know that you don’t like me
But I need a reason why
I need to know that you don’t see
That my heart is in a tie
We were best friends
But now you don’t see
That you’re all that I want
The pain is as bad as can be
Knowing that you hate me,
The pain is pretty bad
Every time I speak
I seem to make you mad
So why is it you don’t like my presence?
Why do you walk by me without a glance?
I just don’t see why
You won’t give me a chance
If I said that your smile lit up the room
Would you look at me as me?
If I said your eyes were as blue as the sky
Would it be your love you guarantee?
If I have to sweet talk my way
Into your loving arms
You’re not worth my time
Even with all your charms
But I want to give you
Everything and more
Yet I can’t seem to find you
Because you’re closed behind the door
So why don’t you come out
And tell me the very truth
Tell me very soon
Before I wait away my youth
