If there's a time
When the tears should fill my eyes,
When I can't part the clouds
And see the sun on the other side.
I'll turn to you.
If there's a day
That I should lose my faith,
That I would give up hope
And turn the other way,
I'll turn to you.
If there's a night
Where I can't put up a fight,
And lost in my confusion,
I can't tell wrong from right,
I'll turn to you.
You were always there,
Knowing what was best.
This being one of many reasons
I hold you above all the rest.
And if a time should come
That you, my friend, are in need,
I will show the same love and compassion
That you have shown me.
I will turn to you.
