At the fashion show/funeral
he held his children close to his side,
they complained about the dullness,
and he thought, “Nothing is classic anymore.”
His reflective expression
sparkled off the lights of the chandeliers
hanging above unnoticed,
and re-found itself
making its way through
a crowd of shiny dresses, pressed suits, and hollowed eyes.
