Fall Is Here

As I’m walking down the sidewalk, leaves blow all around me,
Whipping all around me like a hurricane’s debris.
Trees dance to the rhythm of the wind, the wild wind,
And the leaves shake and shake while they glide on to their end.
The colors of the mountains, the sky, and the clouds
Fade as the day grows old, and the new moon is born to a black and star filled sky. Stars that glitter, and sparkle, and shine.
As I’m walking down the sidewalk, the wind calms down to a much slower degree, a degree that almost seems eerie, like a dark shadow, darker than the blackest night in the winter.
It creeps around me as I walk on the porch steps that are covered in crunchy leaves that have meet their end. A windy, chilly end.
Fall is here.
