Razorblade Kisses

Razorblade Kisses

Razorblade kisses thirteen on my arm.
Physical reflections of spiritual harm.
Impactions of reactions when push came to shove.
Inflictions of restrictions on patience and love.

Always there for me to see
so I dont loose my memory
of a time when I was lost
and what my actions nearly cost.

Dieing felt so cold that day
that for life is all I pray.
And each day as I recieve
this gift to feel, to smile, to breathe

I try to enjoy it while it will last
and it still seems to go too fast.
But no more razors trace my skin.
No more do I live a life of sin.

With new faith I smile and know
next time I die where I will go.
No pain lies there in this place above.
Only patience, truth and love.

This fate my friends awaits us all.
All we have to do is call
upon His name and say "Set me free"
and He will do so gracefully.

Life can be hard at times, but in this poem is the tale of how an individual over came it's pitfalls and demons, with some help from above. As I was scrolling down the page the title, razorblade kisses, alone made such a powerful statement. A powerful and encouraging piece. Great job.

In a motel room with a gun to my head,
In pain beyond belief, and given literally
weeks to live, the radio mysteriously crackled
on and "The Hour Of Decision" with Billy Graham
came on. I was so startled by the unexpected noise
in the room, that I listened to the program. After The sermon,
My newfound FAITH gave me a "Peace That Passes All
Understanding" and I was no longer depressed or afraid
to die from my agonizing infirmity. So, I know my brother
from whence you speak. Beautiful job of conveying your
message of HOPE! Miraculously, I survived!
Blessings,
Rob
