Staring at her wedding gown,
this should have been her day.
but there had been an accident,
that took her groom away.
In her mind she blames herself,
she says it's all her fault.
she takes her engagment ring,
and slips it in the vault.
She should have just let it go,
they would not have had a fight.
he never would have left,
and he'd be here with her tonight.
They said he didn't feel a thing,
that he suffered no pain.
he was driving way too fast,
while driving in the rain.
Now she drinks her nights away,
and sleeps all through her days.
while she sleeps she dreams of him,
so in her dreams she stays.
They found her in the morning,
she lays across her bed,
a bottle in her hand,
and a bullet in her head.
And now they are together,
she wears her wedding gown.
he's waiting to greet her,
as they lay her body down.
She now has a happiness,
and two have become one.
this is all she ever wanted,
no regrets for what she's done.

You have a beautiful way of telling a story through poetry. Keep it up. Another great poem. |
