Envious of Nature

Contributed by DrcGaimer on Wednesday, 28th April 2010 @ 08:43:41 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Similar summer frolic,
with the constant circle of friends.
The only variance,
our love had come to it's end.

Employed in the typical conversations of males,
I notice you,
and my attention is curtailed.

I observe as you, shorn of blanket,
lay upon the beach.
Auguished,
as the crash of the tide serenades you
and it's waves knead the heels of your feet.

Beneath you,
grains of sand,
annoy me with their grins.
Allowed to cradle you
and touch your youthful skin.

With a sneer,
upon the sun I stare.
As you permit it's light
to caress your hair.

Driven by envy,
my heart begins to race,
as the summer breeze
cups your face.

How I long
to hold you again.
To take the place
of the sea, sand, and wind.

Oh, how I love this poem! The imagery is perfect. You capure pure envy and the beauty of the woman in this piece. I can visualize this poem perfectly. I liked the flow as well. You also capture the longing need to have contact that only nature is allowed to touch. Great job!

You captured perfectly the anguish we all feel at a love lost and denied. Simply heartbreaking in its delivery, but powerful in its sentiment. Wonderfully written piece. Take care.

Ah yes. The anguish of being just out of reach. Your
personification of nature is impeccable!! I adore the
delicate power you gave it and the description of your
envy. So completely beautiful. Well done.

All the expressions of envy anger yearning sadness, what a great way to express lost love in the contrast of the freedom of Nature....How I long to hold you again,

Wow... just wow. I am envious of nature too now!

I long for love to glint inside her eye, as the sunlight does.

Truly a perfectly captured feeling.
