Bells of Suicide

Topic: DarkPoetry

If only I had known.
I would not be looking at the moon.
All that is left is one final step.
But I yearn only for the bells.

The shrouding light engulfs me.
My soul is captured in that one palpable moment.
All is done now all I do is wait.
My only regret is...

Not kissing the one I love,
ruining the eggs I made for dinner,
Forgetting to feed the dog,
holding the door for that old hag,
giving a dollar to a bum,
holding the elevator
for my last piece of string.

I’m surprised about how calm I am,
may be this is the only way to relive it all?
Taking a deep breath possibly my last.

What took an eternity, time strikes three.
Nothing becomes everything and,
everything becomes void.
Finally the bells have arrived.

These types of poems sadden my heart, because no one should ever feel this way, but it happens, that's life., but the key is maybe that person wasn't meant for you. Maybe the person meant for you has yet to be seen,
The person meant for you will love you no matter what, your faults may be, they will try to understand who you are, and love you for you. Always remember we are all imperfect beings, and God don't let one door close without opening another

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
