A dream

On a night of deep sleep,
I had a dream.
I dreamed that I changed the world.
That I fed the poor,
I healed the sick,
loved the abused and
stayed with the abandoned.
As the dream continued I learned
How to cheer up the depressed
how to stop the murderers,
prevent all thieving and
to convince the suicidal.
In my dream the people,
always smiled and laughed,
the children played,
teenagers grew and
elders never died.
When I woke up though, I cried.
The tears seemed to bring out
the rain, I'm sure the sky was crying too;
because that dream, to us,
was a beautiful vision. We cried because
to reality, it was simply
just another dream.
